What is the difference between AI-02 and AI-04?
AI-02 is USB Type C which has high-quality Midas Pre Amps and comes with led indicators for the gain knob,and has a 3.5mm headphone out jack while AI-04 is USB Type B to A, but does not have led indicators for the gain knob,and has a 3.5mm headphone out jack. I have recently purchased Audio Array Al-04 from Amazon. I have one small query regarding "Mix" knob. How does it work? What does the Input & DAW marking signify here ?
The AI-04 has the Mix Knob and this is used to enhance the vocals or increase the volume. You have to first press on the Monitor switch which is connected to the input that is related to the vocals. For eg if you have connected your mic and you are speaking through the mic, you can turn the knob to the left to increase or decrease the volume of your vocals and if you turn to the right you will be able to increase or decrease the background music or anything that is playing on your system which will be finally playing in your video or Audio.
I'm aware that connection via USB-B port will show up as a audio device on laptop. Will the given USB-C port behave the same?
No, The interface needs an external powering source and with the help of the mobile adapter you have to connect the type C cable to the interface where its mentioned 5 VDC on the interface. Keep the power source to the right side. The type A cable is used to transfer data from the mobile or the laptop. If you are transferring the data to the mobile then you will need the converter which is provided for the Android phone which is attached to the Type A cable.
Will USB-C function independently of USB-B? Are they both USB v3.0?
