why a four star ?

the whole build of the mic arm is good but the steel joint on which the mic adaptor is installed is loose every time you move it a bit but for the price range its ok would recommend if you don't have budget i use a Sennheiser mic dynamic and it works well with it would upgrade to rode mic stand but any thing in between would be just same or slightly better quality so better save money for a good one till then this would work ~!

Good product, ecomical price

Using it daily for an hour with multiple people, works great, clamp is comfortable to tighten and the springs hold up a Shure SM58 very well, included velcro ties are good for routing the wire
